The Wise Counsel Team

The Wise Counsel Team welcomes Kara Hoffman, Graduate Student Intern, starting 1/20/25

Do you feel weighed down by grief, anxiety, or depression? Are you struggling to navigate life’s transitions or finding it hard to let go of past pain? These challenges are real, but you don’t have to face them alone.

I specialize in helping adults process grief, manage anxiety and depression, and move through life’s changes with greater resilience and clarity. My approach is warm, empowering, and nonjudgmental, providing a safe space where you can feel heard, understood, and supported. Together, we’ll collaborate to explore what’s holding you back and develop practical tools to help you move forward.

My experience in palliative and end-of-life care has given me an understanding of grief, loss, and the search for meaning in difficult times. I also incorporate mindfulness into my practice to help you stay grounded, find balance, and reconnect with yourself in a meaningful way.

Whether you’re seeking relief from overwhelming emotions or striving to build a more fulfilling life, I’m here to support you at your own pace. I currently offer virtual appointments for adults (18+). If you’re ready to take the first step toward healing and growth, I’d be honored to walk alongside you.

The Wise Counsel Team welcomes Dana Hercbergs, LSW, starting 12/9/24!

I believe that every healing journey involves a reconnection to self, honoring your ever-evolving complexity and needs in this season of your life. I gently companion personal processes by slowing down and allowing the answers to emerge from within you. I emphasize experiential and somatic approaches to wellness – inviting spaciousness and warm ‎curiosity to past and current issues as they arise in the body – as sensations, postures, images, or ‎metaphors. I often use Focusing in my practice: A way of pausing and sensing inside for the felt quality of ‎your ‎experience or story. Safely and at your own pace.

Together, we become curious about that “something” just at the edge of your awareness. We listen for ‎what it needs to become unstuck – for your life energy to flow again.‎ Relationship and attachment issues, life transitions, identity, depression and anxiety, grief, and creative projects are ‎some of the issues that surface in my work with clients. Please contact me if you are curious and would like to learn more.

Dana, an LGBTQ+ affirming clinician, is now accepting new telehealth clients ages 19+ with the following insurances: Aetna, Anthem, Aultcare, Beacon, Buckeye, Caresource, Cigna, Humana, Medical Mutual, Oscar, United Healthcare (including GEHA and Medicaid), and Self-Pay.

Dana is practicing under the supervision of Kerri Mazzone, LISW-S (Ohio License # I.1000022-SUPV).
