Ohio LSW and MFT Supervision

Are you looking for supervision to advance your career in social work or marriage and family therapy? I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker with Supervisory designation (LISW-S) and bring years of experience and passion to clinical and training supervision. Since 2010, I have had the privilege of guiding LSWs as they work toward independent licensure. I also enjoy collaborating with MFTs working toward their IMFT licensure.

Here’s how I can support your professional development:

  • Individual and small group supervision available across Ohio.
  • Encouraging and collaborative approach to help you step beyond your comfort zone and refine clinical skills.
  • Specialized expertise in trauma-informed care, neurodiversity, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, and attachment-focused interventions to help you broaden your clinical toolkit.

Per the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board:

  • To work toward the LISW, you need an LSW and a master’s degree in social work from a CSWE-accredited program. You must complete 2 years (24 full months) of post-LSW, post-MSW supervised social work experience, including at least 3,000 hours of work in a social work setting and at least 150 hours of face-to-face training supervision with an LISW-S.
  • For MFTs: Due to the low number of MFTs in Ohio, up to 50 of the required 200 supervision hours may be earned under the supervision of an Ohio-licensed LISW-S or LPCC-S.
